The PLAY Project (Play and Language for
Autistic Youngsters) is a set of programs designed to provide individualized interventions for young children with autistic
spectrum disorders. The project is under the direction

The Mission of the project is to help young children with autistic spectrum disorders
and their families obtain interventions that are:
- Time intensive (2-3 hours per
day)
- Integrated with school and other
therapies
- Developmental
- Individualized and
- Relationship-oriented
The interventions are based on the approach of Stanley Greenspan,
MD and his DIR (Developmental, Individualized and Relationship-oriented) model. The PLAY Project provides the following
services:
-
Clinic and/or Home based consultations.
-
Internet consultations via Relatenow.com
-
Community based trainings including
workshops, conferences and consultations for schools, parents and professionals.
-
Collaboration with a wide range
of community agencies, organizations, and parent support groups to provide families with a broad range of resource options.
The PLAY Consultant program provides monthly clinic and/or home visits
and uses videotape technology to give families detailed guidance about ways in which they can implement the DIR/Floor-time
model at home.
Arizona PLAY Project is gearing up to consult with families
across the globe via Relatenow.com. Coming soon!
